Thai Yoga Bodywork

_DSC3703Thai Yoga Bodywork, is a unique form of bodywork in which the practitioner uses her hands, feet, arms and legs to gently guide the recipient into various Yoga postures.  Performed on a thick floor mat, with the recipient wearing loose, comfortable clothing, the technique has been described as assisted or passive Hatha Yoga.  Therefore, in receiving Thai Yoga Bodywork, one is also receiving benefits of the practice of Yoga.Thai Yoga Bodywork incorporates rhythmic motion, palming and thumbing along energy lines (aka Sen lines or Meridians), gentle stretching and breath work, thus creating a slow, flowing “dance” with the recipient’s body. The improvement and maintenance of flexibility is the key to a youthful, vital body.  Strength and resilience will enhance every sport or activity you wish to pursue.  Thus, the active performance of Pilates is perfectly complemented by the passive Thai Yoga Bodywork.Thai Yoga Bodywork sessions are conducted by Dorothy Stewart.
